Performance of the best indices and components
The Weekly performance and performance of the 5 winners and losers of the following indices:
- S&P 500:
- index of the 500 largest U.S. publicly traded companies.
- NASDAQ 100:
- index of the largest non-financial companies listed on the NASDAQ.
- Dow Jones Industrial Average:
- index of 30 United States bluechip companies.
The S&P 500 index (which includes the 500 largest U.S. publicly traded companies) ended the week with a negative performance ( -14,98% ).
Amcor Plc ( 7,04% ) and Dow Inc ( 6,81% ) the best stocks of the week. Discover Financial Services ( -51,22% ) and Simon Property Group ( -46,37% ) the worst.
Consumer Staples sector ( -11,32% ) is the best of the week. Real Estate sector ( -22,99% ) is the worst.
The NASDAQ 100 index (that includes the largest non-financial companies listed on the NASDAQ) closed the week with a negative performance ( -12,52% ).
The best of the Nasdaq 100 index are Citrix Systems Inc ( 4,98% ) and Illumina Inc ( 3,72% ). The worst of the week are United Continental Holdings ( -41,16% ) and Ross Stores Inc ( -31,16% ).
Finally, the Dow Jones Industrial Average index (which includes the 30 United States bluechip companies) ended the week with a negative performance ( -17,30% ).
This week winners of the Dow Jones Ind. are Dow Inc ( 6,81% ) and Walgreens Boots Alliance ( 0,50% ). The losers of the week are Boeing Company ( -44,18% ) and Chevron Corp ( -28,81% ).

Earnings Reports Reactions of the week
Inside the two screens it is possible to find the 5 Winners / Losers company (market cap > 1 billion) reactions to the publication of the earnings report during this week and the reactions of the 10 largest capitalization companies.
In addition, the EPS with respect to those forecast by the analysts with the relative “% Surprise” are shown, ie how much the reported EPS were better / worse than analysts’ expectations.
