Performance of the best indices and components
The Monthly performance and performance of the 5 winners and losers of the following indices:
- S&P 500:
- index of the 500 largest U.S. publicly traded companies.
- NASDAQ 100:
- index of the largest non-financial companies listed on the NASDAQ.
- Dow Jones Industrial Average:
- index of 30 United States bluechip companies.
The S&P 500 index (which includes the 500 largest U.S. publicly traded companies) ended the month with a positive performance ( 2,86% ).
Western Digital Cp ( 26,11% ) and Skyworks Solutions ( 22,97% ) the best stocks of the month. Abiomed Inc ( -13,04% ) and Boeing Company ( -11,04% ) the worst.
Energy sector ( 5,82% ) is the best of the month. Industrials sector ( -0,16% ) is the worst.
The NASDAQ 100 index (that includes the largest non-financial companies listed on the NASDAQ) closed the month with a positive performance ( 3,92% ).
The best of the Nasdaq 100 index are Tesla Inc ( 26,79% ) and Western Digital Cp ( 26,11% ). The worst of the month are Workday Inc ( -8,19% ) and Incyte Corp ( -7,26% ).
Finally, the Dow Jones Industrial Average index (which includes the 30 United States bluechip companies) ended the month with a positive performance ( 1,74% ).
This month winners of the Dow Jones Ind. are Apple Inc ( 9,88% ) and Nike Inc ( 8,36% ). The losers of the month are Boeing Company ( -11,04% ) and Walt Disney Company ( -4,59% ).

The Monthly performance of the so-called FAANGs, or 5 of the most important companies listed on the US stock market:
- Facebook (F)
- Apple (A)
- Amazon (A)
- Netflix (N)
- Google (G)
NEW All-Time Highs and Lows
The screen shows some of the companies that reached a NEW historical HIGH (or LOW) and some key information about them (Industry, Market Capitalization and Annual Dividend Yield).
If a company is at an all-time high, it means that it has currently reached a value that it had never been able to achieve before, so it is a clear sign of the company’s strength.
On the other hand, a company that sets a record low means that it never reached such a low value, a clear sign of weakness.
Among the companies that are showing the greatest strength (having reached a new historical high) Liberty Broadbd A ( LBRDA ), CBRE Group Inc ( CBRE ) and Franco Nev Corp ( FNV ).
Instead among the companies that are in the worst moment of their history (having reached a new historical minimum) Amc Entertainment Holdings Inc ( AMC ), Wanda Sports Group Company Ltd ADR ( WSG ) and Cnfinance Holdings Ltd ADR ( CNF ).
