We all know the incredible performance of Bitcoin in recent years. In particular, in the last 3 years it has had a performance of + 800%, touching the maximum peak of about $ 20’000 reached at the end of 2017.
This article is based on the following question: in the stock market are there companies that in the same time period (last 3 years) had a performance equal to or higher than Bitcoin (+ 800%)?
The answer is YES, and in this article I show you 5 companies.
For each company a card will be shown containing the following information:
- Market capitalization
- Industry in which it operates
- YTD performance (Year-to-Date)
- Performance of the last 3 years (from 15 December 2016 to 15 December 2019)
Furthermore, the comparison chart of the last 3 years between the company and Bitcoin (red line) is shown.

Uniqure N.V. (QURE)
uniQure N.V., a gene therapy company, engages in the discovery, development, and commercialization of gene therapies in the Netherlands.
Shopify Inc (SHOP)
Shopify Inc. is a Canadian multinational e-commerce company headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario. It is also the name of its proprietary e-commerce platform for online stores and retail point-of-sale systems. Shopify offers online retailers a suite of services “including payments, marketing, shipping and customer engagement tools to simplify the process of running an online store for small merchants.”
